Behaviour Teaching Assistant β Location: Nottingham (NG12) β Pay: Β£100 β Β£110 per day β Contract: Full-time, Long Term to Permanent β Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am β 3:30pm β Start Date: As soon as possible
The Role
We are working with a specialist all-through school in Nottingham (NG12) area that supports pupils aged 4-16. This inclusive setting offers a nurturing, structured learning environment for students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you\\\βll work closely with children across various key stages, offering tailored interventions and positive guidance to help them manage their behaviour, build confidence and re-engage with their education.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties
- Supporting children in developing self-regulation and conflict-resolution strategies
- Building trusting, respectful relationships with pupils to help them feel valued and understood
- Assisting the wider staff team in maintaining a calm, consistent environment
- Helping to implement personalised behaviour and support plans
- Encouraging positive choices and promoting emotional wellbeing throughout the school day

- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviour
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
