Long Term Futures is seeking a resilient and dedicated Behaviour Specialist to work within a secondary school in Birmingham, supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4 with SEMH needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference to young people who require additional behavioural and emotional support. Responsibilities
- Supporting students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in line with school policies
- Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support engagement
- Providing 1:1 and small group interventions focused on behaviour and emotional regulation
- Supporting pupils to reintegrate into lessons following periods of dysregulation
- Monitoring behaviour and progress, providing feedback to staff and parents where required
- Promoting positive behaviour, resilience, and social development
- Working collaboratively with staff to implement behaviour support strategies

- Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate effectively
