Key Responsibilities
- Lead teaching and learning for pupils with ASC / ASD
- Deliver highly differentiated lessons aligned with EHCP targets
- Develop and implement effective autism-specific teaching strategies
- Support and lead whole-school behaviour systems and interventions
- Work closely with SEN Teaching Assistants, families, and external agencies
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews
- Support staff development and best practice in ASC teaching
- Contribute to wider school improvement as part of the leadership team
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Strong experience working with ASC / ASD pupils
- Previous SEN Leadership or middle Leadership experience (preferred)
- Excellent understanding of behaviour management in SEN settings
- Knowledge of EHCPs and autism-informed teaching strategies
- Ability to lead and support staff effectively
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
- Right to work in the UK
