We’re currently recruiting Student Cover Supervisors to support a variety of secondary schools in Alton and the surrounding areas. Schools are looking for enthusiastic, dependable individuals who can step confidently into the classroom and support students during teacher absences. This role offers flexibility around your availability while giving you the chance to develop transferable skills in communication, leadership, and behaviour management. No previous school experience is required – full support and training will be provided.
Responsibilities- Supervising lessons using pre‑planned work left by teaching staff
- Supporting students to remain engaged and on task
- Creating a calm and focused classroom environment
- Managing behaviour positively and professionally
- Following school procedures and safeguarding expectations
- Providing basic lesson feedback to teachers at the end of the day
You won’t be expected to plan lessons or teach new content – your role is to help keep learning on track in the teacher’s absence.
