The Role
- Support teaching and learning across a range of subjects and year groups (KS3 and KS4)
- Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Provide targeted intervention support for individuals and small groups
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to support students with additional needs
- Contribute to assessment, monitoring, and reporting on student progress
The Ideal Candidate
- Hold relevant HLTA status or equivalent experience
- Have experience working within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
- Be confident leading whole classes when required
- Be adaptable, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Have a commitment to supporting students of all abilities, including those with additional needs
This role is offered on a part‑time basis (4 days per week) and is initially for two terms, with the potential for extension depending on school needs.
Benefits
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
