We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary aged pupil with complex autism on a supply basis from September. This rewarding role is ideal for someone patient, resilient, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child's daily school experience.

Role

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex autism
  • Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
  • Implement personalised strategies and follow EHCP targets
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent support
  • Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment

Ideal Candidate

  • Have experience supporting children with autism and complex needs
  • Be calm, empathetic, and adaptable in their approach
  • Have strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • Be confident working on a 1:1 basis
  • Hold relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
