We are working with a structured SEMH school in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest looking for a Behaviour Support TA who can handle challenges without escalating situations. This is not a passive classroom support role. This is a permanent position starting in September 2026.
You will be supporting pupils who need clear boundaries, calm adults and consistent routines. The school is looking for someone who can build trust, manage behaviour professionally and work alongside experienced staff.
What the role involves:- Supporting pupils with SEMH, behaviour needs and additional learning needs
- Helping pupils stay regulated and engaged in learning
- Working with teachers, pastoral staff and behaviour leads
- Long‑term, consistent work rather than random day‑to‑day cover
- A calm, firm and reliable personality
- Experience in schools, youth work, mentoring, PRU/AP or behaviour support
