We’re looking for passionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist provision in Hackney, supporting preverbal children with Autism (ASD) in a 1:2 model classroom.
You’ll be part of a dedicated team helping children develop communication, independence, and social skills through structured routines, sensory activities, and visual supports.
Requirements:
- Supporting non-verbal pupils 1:1 and 1:2 in a structured ASD setting
- Using PECS, Makaton, or visual aids to support understanding
- Helping pupils engage in sensory and play-based learning
- Working closely with teachers and therapists to track progress
- Maintaining calm, consistency, and clear boundaries throughout the day
