A specialist SEN setting is looking for a PMLD Support Assistant to support pupils with complex additional needs. This is a practical, hands-on support role. The position requires a caring, resilient and confident approach, including potential for personal care, communication support, sensory support, or structured routines.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with complex needs, including ASD, PMLD or EHCP-linked needs
- Help pupils access learning and daily routines
- Work closely with SEN teachers, therapists and support staff
- Provide consistent, patient and reliable support
Qualifications and attributes
- SEN, care, support work, school or youth work experience
- Comfort with practical support
- Patience, resilience and strong communication
- Ability to stay calm and consistent throughout the day
