A specialist SEN setting in Leytonstone, Waltham Forest is looking for a PMLD Support Assistant to support pupils with complex additional needs. This is a specialist support role for someone comfortable with complex needs and personal care. This is a practical, hands-on support role. The school needs someone caring, resilient and confident working with pupils who may need communication support, sensory support, personal care or structured routines.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with complex needs, ASD, PMLD or EHCP-linked needs
- Helping pupils access learning and daily routines
- Working closely with SEN teachers, therapists and support staff
- Providing consistent, patient and reliable support
Qualifications
- SEN, care, support work, school or youth work experience
- Someone comfortable with practical support
- Patience, resilience and strong communication
- A person who can stay calm and consistent throughout the day
Pay: £95 - £120 per day
