Key Responsibilities:
- Support students 1:1 and in small groups across primary, secondary, or college settings.
- Work with students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties, providing tailored support.
- Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual needs, using PECS, Makaton, and sensory-based learning.
- Help students develop confidence, independence, and social skills through structured interventions.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and provide emotional support when needed.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create a nurturing learning environment.
- Encourage inclusion and engagement, ensuring all students have access to learning opportunities.
Who We're Looking For:
- Graduates in Psychology, Education, SEN, Social Work, or related fields looking for hands-on experience.
- Experienced Teaching Assistants, Youth Workers, or Support Workers with a passion for SEN.
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children and young people.
- Knowledge or experience of SEN strategies such as PECS, Makaton, Team Teach, or de-escalation techniques (desirable but not essential).
- A willingness to learn and take part in ongoing CPD and training.
