We are working with a structured SEMH school in Wandsworth looking for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant who can handle challenge without escalating situations. This is not a passive classroom support role. This is a long‑term role starting in September 2026, with strong potential to continue across the academic year. You will be supporting pupils who need clear boundaries, calm adults and consistent routines. The school is looking for someone who can build trust, manage behaviour professionally and work alongside experienced staff.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with SEMH, behaviour needs and additional learning needs
- Helping pupils stay regulated and engaged in learning
- Working with teachers, pastoral staff and behaviour leads
- Providing long‑term, consistent work rather than random day‑to‑day cover
Qualifications & Experience
- A calm, firm and reliable personality
- Experience in schools, youth work, mentoring, PRU/AP or behaviour support
- Ability to de‑escalate, not inflame situations
- Thick skin, patience and a professional mindset
Pay: £95 – £115 per day
Location: Wandsworth (SW18 2PU)
