We are working with a structured SEMH school in Gants Hill, Redbridge looking for a Behaviour Support TA who can handle challenge without escalating situations. This is not a passive classroom support role. This is a permanent position starting in September 2026.

You will be supporting pupils who need clear boundaries, calm adults and consistent routines. The school is looking for someone who can build trust, manage behaviour professionally and work alongside experienced staff.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH, behaviour needs and additional learning needs
  • Helping pupils stay regulated and engaged in learning
  • Working with teachers, pastoral staff and behaviour leads
  • Long-term, consistent work rather than random day-to-day cover
Qualifications
  • A calm, firm and reliable personality
  • Experience in schools, youth work, mentoring, PRU/AP or behaviour support
  • Someone who can de-escalate, not inflame situations
  • Thick skin, patience and a professional mindset

Pay: £95 - £115 per day

Location: Gants Hill, Redbridge (IG1 1BP)

Start date: September 2026
