The predicted salary is between 23100 - 25000 £ per year.

This role is a long-term 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant position in a Barnet primary school. The candidate should be calm, reliable and able to build a strong 1:1 relationship with a pupil who has additional needs. You will support pupils with SEN, working closely with the class teacher to help pupils stay settled, focused and engaged from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEN, ASD, speech and language needs or EHCP-linked support
  • Work in class, in small groups, or 1:1 depending on pupil need
  • Help create calm routines and provide consistent classroom support
  • Support learning without becoming generic cover

Qualifications / Experience

  • Previous school, SEN, care, childcare or youth work experience
  • Calm, steady and reliable demeanor
  • Good communication with teachers and pupils
  • Patient approach with pupils who need extra time and consistency
