Freelance Liferay Platform Engineer (OUTSIDE IR35) *** Hybrid: 2 Days On-Site (Glasgow) | 3 Days Remote Freelance Contract | Outside IR35 We are looking for a Liferay Platform Engineer to join our team on a freelance basis , operating in a hybrid working model (2 days on-site in Glasgow, 3 days remote per week). This is a hands-on platform engineering and operations role (not development), focused on ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous evolution of the Liferay platform. Manage and oversee deployments, patches, and version upgrades. Monitor performance, respond to incidents, and troubleshoot technical issues. Integrate with authentication systems, APIs, and monitoring tools. 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in Liferay platform engineering (ideally Liferay DXP). ~ Solid background in Java-based platforms and API integrations. ~ Comfortable with Linux system administration, application servers, and databases. ~ Experienced with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern monitoring tools. ~ Fluent in English and highly collaborative.
