SEN Swimming Instructor – Kingston upon Thames

The opportunity
Senovo is recruiting a SEN Swimming Instructor for a specialist SEN education setting in Kingston upon Thames. The successful candidate will join a committed team focused on helping children and young people access learning, develop confidence and make meaningful progress.
Key responsibilities
- Provide consistent classroom, one-to-one or small-group support.
- Follow EHCPs, learning plans and strategies agreed by teaching and SEN staff.
- Adapt resources and communication so pupils can participate and progress.
- Support positive behaviour, emotional regulation, independence and wellbeing.
- Share clear observations with teachers, therapists and pastoral colleagues.
What we are looking for
- Relevant experience with children or young people in education, SEN, care, therapy, youth or community settings.
- Patience, reliability, professional boundaries and strong communication.
- A practical understanding of safeguarding and inclusive support.
- Useful experience includes adaptive teaching, safeguarding, SEND, swimming instruction, water safety.
- QTS is not required for this support role.
