The opportunity
Senovo is recruiting a School-Based Play Therapist for a specialist SEN education setting in Waltham Forest. The successful candidate will join a committed team focused on helping children and young people access learning, develop confidence and make meaningful progress.
Key responsibilities
- Assess pupils' needs and contribute to clear, practical intervention plans.
- Deliver individual and small-group programmes appropriate to the role.
- Monitor outcomes, maintain accurate records and provide useful recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with education staff, families and multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Promote safe, ethical and inclusive practice at all times.
What we are looking for
- A relevant recognised professional qualification for the role.
- Appropriate professional registration or membership where required.
- Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
- Strong communication, record-keeping and safeguarding practice.
- Useful experience includes multidisciplinary working, Play therapy, safeguarding, SEN schools, therapeutic assessment.
- QTS is not required for this therapy role.
