Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - BexleyLocation: BexleyContract: TemporaryPay: £100-£130 per day PAYEThe opportunityA Bexley SEN school is seeking a Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent positive behaviour support and help pupils re-engage with learning through calm, well-judged intervention.
What you will do
- Build dependable relationships and reinforce clear classroom routines.
- Use agreed regulation and de-escalation strategies before difficulties escape.
- Support pupils to recognise emotions, make choices and return to learning.
- Record patterns and progress accurately for teachers and pastoral colleagues.
- Maintain firm professional boundaries and a restorative, respectful approach.
What you will bring
- Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs.
- Confidence staying calm, consistent and solution-focused under pressure.
- Strong communication, teamwork and safeguarding awareness.
- QTS is not required for this classroom-support role.
