- Experience supporting young children with disabilities or complex needs — ideally Angelman syndrome or similar
- Epilepsy experience desirable — calm and confident recognising and responding to brief seizures
- Confident supporting a non-verbal child — reading cues, noises and body language, and using a Total Communication approach
- Physically able to lift and carry B2 (13.5kg) safely, including up and down stairs
- Happy to embed daily physio, OT and SALT practice into play, following guidance from the therapy team
- Experience feeding a young child who needs to be fed, and encouraging finger foods and self-feeding
- Fun, enthusiastic and engaging — the family say enthusiasm is just as important as experience
- Full UK driving licence and own car for playgroups, activities and outings
