- Previous experience supporting children with SEN; 2+ years' experience
- Experience supporting autistic children, ideally including children with communication and sensory needs
- Friendly, patient, and nurturing approach, particularly when supporting a child with limited verbal communication
- Energetic, proactive and creative, with the ability to plan engaging after-school activities while responding flexibly to G8's energy and regulation needs
- Vigilant, responsible and safety-conscious, particularly when supporting G8 outside the home and in the community
- Confident supporting G8's communication naturally through everyday interaction, play, modelling language, offering choices, singing and encouraging her to express her needs and preferences
- A strong communicator who will maintain open, regular communication with parents and work collaboratively with the family
