2+ years experience supporting people with SEN.
Positive, warm, patient and energetic β with a genuine love of spending time with people with complex needs.
Confident with PECS β or enthusiastic to learn.
Some knowledge of Makaton β or openness to learn basic signs.
Knowledge of or interest in Intensive Interaction as a communication approach.
A genuine love of reading aloud, storytelling and sharing books.
Confident providing personal care including feeding support and assisting with drinking.
Able to offer consistent hydration and snack prompts throughout the day.
Comfortable with routine-based structure β able to build and maintain a calm, regulated daily rhythm.
Able to support gentle movement and outdoor walks, encouraging participation positively.
Confident communicating feedback to parents verbally or in writing at the end of each day.
