2+ years SEN childcare experience — specifically with Autism, ADHD, anxiety, SEMH needs and selective mutism across a range of ages.
Trauma-informed and emotionally attuned — able to support children with complex emotional and mental health profiles with warmth, patience and no judgement.
Experienced supporting children who struggle to leave the house and attend school — confident using low demand, relationship-led approaches.
Confident with medical care routines — able to support children in taking multiple daily medications correctly and consistently.
Aware of the implications of immunosuppression — understanding of hygiene and infection prevention for a medically vulnerable child.
Comfortable supporting children with sensory sensitivities, particularly around clothing, noise and environment.
Full, clean UK driving licence — essential, with significant driving required.
Calm, boundaried and emotionally regulated — able to hold space for big feelings without escalating.
Experienced supporting children with restricted eating and food aversions — patient, non-pressured approach essential.
Able to support executive functioning — time management, self-care routines, organisation and homework.
