Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2+ years SEN childcare or therapeutic support experience, ideally with young children with developmental delay and/or sensory processing differences
  • Confident modelling language throughout the day — experience with speech delay and ideally with Gestalt Language Processing
  • Experienced implementing OT strategies at home — including heavy work, deep pressure massage and movement-based regulation
  • Understanding of sensory processing and sound hypersensitivity — able to read early signs of dysregulation and respond calmly
  • Patient and creative at mealtimes — able to gently support feeding independence and broaden food repertoire without pressure
  • Warm, nurturing and genuinely playful — someone B3 will trust and connect with
  • Confident with newborns — comfortable with all aspects of newborn care
  • Experienced working collaboratively as part of a multi-professional team — SLT, OT, physio and nursery
  • Tenacious, can-do and adaptable — happy to flex the day based on how B3 is presenting
  • Equally comfortable with household tasks (light housework, laundry, children's meal prep) as with childcare
  • Happy working closely alongside Mum throughout the day in a team approach
