- 2+ years of SEN childcare, specifically with Autistic children and/or ADHD
- Confident understanding of PICA β able to maintain active 1:1 supervision to prevent ingestion of non-food items, and to risk-assess environments quickly
- Experience supporting children with impulse control challenges, particularly in food-related and outdoor settings
- Physically active, energetic and robust β able to keep up with a tall, active boy who loves movement and outdoor adventure
- Confident in the water β swimming is a core activity and a real strength for B10
- Warm, positive and genuinely fun β able to build a trusted, long-term relationship that B10 will value and rely on
- Calm and patient β able to support demand avoidance and sensory dysregulation without escalation
- Full, clean UK driving licence with own car
- Happy to work a flexible pattern across term time (afternoons/evenings/weekends) and school holidays (daytime)
- Comfortable working across two households (approx 15 mins apart) and building relationships with both parents
- Confident cooking for B10 β mindful of his strong food motivation and PICA needs
- First Aid trained or willing to obtain training for role

- After-school collection and care during term time β supporting B10 through his evening routine
- Weekend support as agreed β accompanying B10 on activities, outings and adventures
- Daytime care and activities during school holidays
- Swimming, water-based activities, trampolining, adventure activities and outdoor exploration β being an enthusiastic and physically active companion
- Support B10 with regulation β helping him transition between activities and manage moments of dysregulation or demand avoidance with calm, patience and creativity
- Manage food and impulse control in public settings β planning ahead, risk-assessing environments and maintaining active supervision
- Cook meals for B10, mindful of his food motivation and PICA profile
- Supporting B10 with personal care, hygiene and daily living skills β building independence over time
- Transport B10 to activities, clubs, appointments and outings β own car essential
- Implement SALT and OT strategies in daily activities and interactions
- Liaise regularly with both Mum and Dad, maintaining clear communication and consistency across both households
- Occasional overnight support at either home by agreement
- Potential to accompany the family on holidays
- Support B10 in gradually accessing more community activities and experiences with increasing independence
