Pastoral Children\'s Mentor

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Pastoral Children\’s Mentor to join a specialist school in Bolton which supports pupils with SEMH needs. The Role: You will play a vital role in the development and well-being of our students. You will: * Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to pupils identified as needing pastoral and behavioural intervention. * Deliver targeted intervention sessions that promote positive emotional and social development. * Support students presenting challenging and complex behaviours, building trusting, therapeutic relationships. * Act as a consistent and nurturing adult presence, guiding pupils through their educational and personal growth. * Work closely with the wider pastoral and therapeutic teams to develop tailored support strategies. About You: * Experience working with children in the UK for at least 3-6 months which you can support with references * A calm, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach to behaviour support. * Skilled in de-escalation and restorative approaches. * Ability to build strong, positive relationships with young people who have experienced adversity or disrupted schooling. * Emotionally resilient and able to work as part of a supportive, tight-knit team.
