We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Phonics Intervention Teaching Assistant to deliver effective phonics interventions and support students’ literacy development. You will play a critical role in helping students build strong phonics skills, which are fundamental to their reading and writing abilities. Hours are full time. Monday-Friday 8.30-3.30

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement phonics sessions and activities that are aligned with curriculum standards and best practices.
  • Provide small-group or one-to-one phonics sessions to learners who need additional support or intervention.
  • Assist with assessing and monitoring students’ phonics skills through informal observations and formal assessments.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on learners’ progress in phonics and collaborate with the team to develop strategies to address individual student needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to develop their phonics skills.
  • The school follows the Read Write Inc (RWI) phonics scheme so experience with the scheme would be highly desirable.
