Sennen Education are working with a specialist SEMH secondary school looking for a Specialist Teacher. The school supports and cares for children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, individuals on the autism spectrum and young people with ADHD, dyspraxia and dyslexia.
The successful candidate will play an integral part of the school’s team who put the children and young people at the centre of everything they do. You will plan, assess and deliver outstanding teaching and learning that enable all young people to learn, whilst ensuring that pastoral needs are met.
You will need to:
- Hold valid QTS or equivalent
- Promote the delivery of outstanding teaching from KS3 to KS4
- Have teaching experience including working with ASC and challenging behaviour, whether in a mainstream or SEN setting
- Be a superb communicator
- Have good behaviour management skills
- Hold an excellent classroom practice to be able to motivate and enable learning in pupils of all abilities and needs
- Have a clear understanding of the national curriculum or EYFS curriculum
- Exhibit the ability to adapt and improvise
