About the Role

sennder is Europe's Leading Digital Freight Forwarder. In a traditional industry, we're moving fast and focusing on the digitalization and automation of road logistics. By leveraging our proprietary technology, we're building an ecosystem that is leading the industry into the 21st century. We are a growing team looking for an Operations Manager (Road Freight/ UK import and export/Customer and Carrier facing) in the Commercial department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. The role is in our Manchester office, Media City.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and growing the existing customer and carrier portfolio.
  • Consistently executing daily business (receiving orders, data entry, informing customers about shipment status, etc.).
  • Establishing and maintaining day‑to‑day relationships with contacts.
  • Selling and negotiating at a transactional level.
  • Identifying new opportunities with current customers outside the existing scope.
  • Establishing and proactively maintaining relationships with management‑level contacts inside and outside the organization.
  • Gathering, analysing, and preparing relevant information for business reviews and being an active participant.
  • Following up the status of customers' transport operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the field.
  • 2 years of experience in an account management or commercial role, preferably within the logistics field.
  • Excellent English verbal & written communication skills.
  • Additional EU language is an advantage.
  • Energy and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to work in a team environment while also delivering independent results.
  • Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others.
