Senior Salmon are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Rebar Quality Control Inspector (QCI) to join their established manufacturing team in Worksop. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to join a leading manufacturer within the construction sector. Candidates with experience in reinforcement steel, steel fabrication, precast concrete, construction products or a similar manufacturing environment will be highly advantageous. The Role: As a Rebar QCI, you will be responsible for ensuring all reinforcement products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and meet customer specifications before leaving site. Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting rebar cages, assemblies and finished products against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Checking dimensions, spacing, bends, welds and bar identification.
- Ensuring products meet client specifications and quality standards.
- Completing quality documentation, inspections and reports.
- Working closely with production, engineering and planning teams.
- Identifying defects and supporting corrective actions.
- Using measuring equipment to verify compliance.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment. The Candidate: To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering or construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Experience completing quality documentation and inspection records.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments.
- A flexible approach to shifts and workload requirements. Desirable
