We are seeking a reliable and skilled FLT Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle materials effectively.
Hours are working on a 3 shift rotation: days, afternoon, and nights. 8 hour shifts - must be able to work all three continental - 6-2pm, 2-10pm, and 10pm-6am.
Duties:
- Operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including forklifts.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory using a warehouse management system.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform basic repairs on vehicles and equipment as necessary.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring that all materials are accounted for and properly stored.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize workflow and ensure efficient operations.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing duties, including heavy lifting when required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is an advantage.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and record keeping.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as needed during loading and unloading activities.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling materials.
- A valid FLT counterbalance license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
