Senior Salmon are working with a Global Manufacturer in Somercotes and we are looking to add to their team of experienced Machine Operators. There are permanent opportunities and as such we are looking for experienced machine operators who possess a great understanding of all aspects of a production line operation as the focus of your role will be on activities that require technical knowledge.
You will be responsible for:
- Respecting and adhering to standards set by the company
- Operating equipment to standard settings and monitoring to ensure its running correctly
- Dealing with production issues quickly
- Performing preventative maintenance to keep the equipment running efficiently
- Engaging in proactive problem-solving activities
We’re looking for people with:
- Experience within a Manufacturing or Packing environment where you have been responsible for machinery or running production line equipment
- An understanding in the use of lean tools, 5S workplace organisation
- The confidence to work independently as well as part of a team
- Great communication
- A proactive approach taking accountability and responsibility for your actions
- A flexible and adaptable mind as we offer ever-changing production requirements
As well as the training my client will provide, coach and mentor to progress and develop your career. This is a permanent position working a rotating shift pattern of Mornings (6am – 2pm) and Afternoons (2pm – 10pm). Salary is £33,672.40 per annum, 40 hours working week (£16.19 per hour).
