Senior Salmon are working exclusively with our global manufacturing Client in Somercotes, Alfreton and we are looking to recruit Operatives on their behalf on a permanent basis. Position Overview

Beam Loading Operative, Knitting

38 hours per week.

3 shift rotation (Days 05:45-13:45, Nights 21:45-05:45, Afternoons 13:45-21:45).

  • Using overhead cranes to load warp knitting machines with beams
  • Using small tow trucks to transport the beams to machines
  • Carrying out daily health & safety checks on cranes and equipment prior to use
  • Carrying out routine machine cleaning and maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the work area
  • Reporting mechanical or electrical issues to the Supervisor / Manager
  • Completing production documentation following Kaizen / 5S techniques
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and quality procedures

  • £14.96 starting rate, increasing to £15.94 once fully trained (full training provided)
  • Overtime at 2x hourly rate, depending on when worked
  • Short shifts on Friday, with Night shift finishing at 23:45
