Senior Salmon are working exclusively with our global manufacturing Client in Somercotes, Alfreton and we are looking to recruit Operatives on their behalf on a permanent basis. Position Overview

Creel Loading Operative, Warping – 38 hours per week. 3 shift rotation (Days 05:45 – 13:45, Nights 21:45 – 05:45, Afternoons 13:45 – 21:45).

  • Loading yarn bobbins onto creels with weights from 1kg up to 10kg
  • Tying the ends of the threads together to form a continuous run
  • Removing bobbins when empty for recycling
  • Carrying out routine machine cleaning and maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the work area
  • Reporting of mechanical or electrical issues to Supervisor / Manager
  • Completion of production documentation following Kaizen / 5S techniques
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and quality procedures
  • Good dexterity, hand-eye coordination and ability to lift up to 10kg is essential for this role

  • £14.96 starting rate, increasing to £15.94 once fully trained (full training provided)
  • Overtime available at 1.5x and 2x hourly rate, depending on when worked
  • Short shifts on Friday, with Night shift finishing at 23:45
