Due to expansion our client in Somercotes is looking for Finishing Operative's (Brushing, Stenter or Sueding) to join their facility ona temp to perm basis working on a 3 Shift Rotation
Duties will be working as a Finishing Operative within their Brushing, Stenter or Sueding Department
Rotating 3-shift system • Days • Afternoons • Nights (Flexibility to work overtime where required.)
Job Purpose We are seeking motivated and reliable Finishing Operatives to join our textile manufacturing team.
The successful candidates will be responsible for operating and monitoring finishing equipment, including brushing machines, stenters, and sueding machines, ensuring products are processed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate brushing, stenter, or sueding machinery safely and efficiently.
- Set up machines in accordance with production specifications.
- Monitor fabric quality throughout the finishing process.
- Carry out routine quality inspections and record production data as required.
- Identify faults, defects, or machine issues and report them promptly.
- Ensure production targets and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Perform basic machine housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Work in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures and risk assessments.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
- Assist colleagues and support other departments when required.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions.
