Senior Salmon are working exclusively with our global manufacturing Client in Somercotes, Alfreton and we are looking to recruit Operatives on their behalf on a permanent basis. Position Overview
- Creel Loading Operative, Warping
- 38 hours per week.
- 3 shift rotation (Days 05:45 - 13:45, Nights 21:45 - 05:45, Afternoons 13:45 - 21:45).
- Loading yarn bobbins onto creels with weights from 1kg up to 10kg.
- Tying the ends of the threads together to form a continuous run.
- Removing bobbins when empty for recycling.
- Carrying out routine machine cleaning and maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the work area.
- Reporting of mechanical or electrical issues to Supervisor / Manager.
- Completion of production documentation following Kaizen / 5S techniques.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and quality procedures.
- Good dexterity, hand-eye coordination and ability to lift up to 10kg is essential for this role.
Benefits
- £14.96 starting rate, increasing to £15.94 once fully trained (full training provided).
- Overtime available at 1.5x and 2x hourly rate, depending on when worked.
- Short shifts on Friday, with Night shift finishing at 23:45.
- 29 days annual leave, increasing to 31 then 33 days upon 5 and 10-years service.
- Attendance bonus of £350 every 6 months.
