Responsible for implementation and delivery of the design & validation plan for all new products within the Exhaust Flex, thermal management, hydrogen & Turbo Systems Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and deliver the design & validation plan for all new products.
- Provide general technical expertise to support any technical response to RFQ.
- Offer general technical support to both the customer & all project engineers & managers within the Exhaust Flex, thermal management, hydrogen & Turbo Systems Business Unit.
- Undertake vehicle & test rig data acquisition at proving grounds, processing, and reporting.
- Control, update, and report project DVP&Rs.
- Drive blue‑sky / product development activities in accordance with GIT (Global Innovation Team) deliverables.
Qualifications Key Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering or related degree e.g., BEng in Motorsport Engineering or Product Design Engineering.
- Maintain a high standard of health and safety based upon safe working practices and support environmental initiatives.
- Must be a driven individual with a drive and passion to develop.
- Experience an advantage but not essential; role suitable for graduate engineers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good practical skills and a desire to work in a hands‑on environment.
- Strong technical and analytical knowledge with a “thinking outside of the box” mindset.
- Ensure that all work activities and records comply with company policies, procedures and codes of practice.
- Some shift work required on a temporary basis depending on operational needs (morning/afternoon).
- A strong technical ability including new technologies and innovations in automotive sector.
