Job Description
Role Purpose
The role is part of the team in the Machine shop who operate Laser, Mazak & XYZ CNC lathes to support the production of Aerospace components ensuring they conform to customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately interpret and complete production route cards (Technical Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and Data Sheets).
- Setting and operating Lasers.
- Learn to operate Mazak and CNC machines to provide cover for work volumes and absence
- Maintain good housekeeping standards of the work area implementing Safety + 5 S methods (Sort, Set, Standardise, Shine, Sustain)
- Quality inspection of samples to ensure they conform with required size of gauges using measuring equipment
- Work in line with the Company Values (Safety, Accountability, Respect & Trust, Integrity, Excellence, Customer Focus) and demonstrate the associated behaviours in your daily work
- Consistently follow Health, Safety & Environmental procedures, including wearing the required personal protective equipment provided
- Complete training as required and apply the learning in performing operations to
- Perform all reasonable requests made by management.
