About this role
We are open to applications from Electrical, multi‑skilled and mechanically biased engineers (with 18th Edition), provided they have strong hands‑on maintenance experience within a manufacturing setting coupled with some electrical skills. This is a hands‑on engineering role in a fast‑paced production environment, focused on fault finding, problem solving, and maintaining a wide range of manufacturing equipment. The role operates on a rotating day shift pattern and offers a salary of up to £40,000.
Key responsibilities
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Equipment Reliability: Carry out planned maintenance activities to reduce downtime and maintain machine performance.
- Reactive Breakdown and Fault Finding: Diagnose and repair electrical and/or mechanical faults on production machinery.
- Manufacturing Equipment Support: Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth and efficient operation of equipment.
- Maintenance Systems and Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance records and support contractor servicing activities.
- Continuous Improvement and Engineering Projects: Support improvement initiatives and reliability‑based engineering projects.
- Safety and Compliance: Carry out safety inspections and ensure all work complies with site safety procedures.
- Shift‑Based Engineering Support: Work within a rotating shift pattern supporting operational requirements.
Skills and experience required
- Experience in a manufacturing or production maintenance environment
- Electrical qualification to 18th Edition (essential)
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work across electrical and/or mechanical systems
- Good understanding of industrial equipment such as motors and pneumatics
- The ability to work with or learn Robotics, PLC and Automation
