Senex Recruitment, specialists in Science, Engineering, and Manufacturing, are recruiting for a Quality Control (QC) Analyst to join a pharmaceutical company based at Discovery Park in Sandwich, Kent. What You’ll Be Doing in this QC Analyst job
As a QC Analyst, you will support manufacturing by carrying out analytical and physical testing to ensure products meet all compliance and regulatory standards. You’ll play an essential role in delivering safe, high-quality pharmaceutical products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing analytical and physical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
- Following GMP and internal laboratory methods
- Recording, reviewing, and reporting accurate data
- Supporting ongoing stability studies and production schedules
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring it is calibrated and validated
- Investigating out-of-specification (OOS) results and contributing to lab investigations
- Writing and reviewing SOPs and technical documentation
- Sharing knowledge and training junior analysts where appropriate
- Managing your workload and meeting deadlines set by the QC Manager
What You’ll Bring to this QC Analyst role
You’ll hold a relevant scientific degree such as Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Forensics, coupled with some hands-on experience in a laboratory setting. This should include working with techniques like HPLC and/or Gas chromatography, along with a good understanding of wet chemistry methods. You will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high-quality standards in a GMP environment. Confidence using Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel is essential, as are strong written and verbal communication skills. Ideally, you’ll have practical experience in a laboratory environment, with familiarity in using laboratory instruments to a good standard contributing to investigations, and even troubleshooting equipment.
