A CAD Draughtsman job is available near Maidstone, Kent (Hybrid Work Options). Are you an experienced CAD Draughtsman in the mechanical design arena with a passion for engineering and innovation? A multi-disciplinary engineering company is looking for someone just like you! Specialising in providing top-tier design and construction management services across various sectors in the process industry.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed mechanical drawings as a CAD specialist, piping isometrics, equipment layouts, and P&IDs across multiple industries.
- Utilise CAD tools, including the Autodesk platform i.e. Revit, to create accurate 2D and 3D models (other CAD platforms will be considered).
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet industry standards and project deadlines.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and software.
- Contribute to diverse projects in sectors such as oil and gas, energy, food and drink, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and more.
Qualifications
- We’re seeking candidates with a qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field, such as an ONC/HNC/Degree Level or equivalent, along with at least two/three years of experience in mechanical design and/or CAD work.
- Proficiency in leading CAD platform such as Autodesk is essential.
- A strong understanding of engineering design principles and industry standards, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills, is also required.
- You’ll need to have a full UK driving license and be available for occasional office days.
