Are you a dedicated and compassionate teacher with a passion for special education? We’re looking for an enthusiastic SLD Teacher to join a thriving special school in Essex on a full-time, permanent basis starting November 2025.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SLD
- Support pupils’ communication, sensory, and independence needs
- Work closely with support staff and therapists to create a holistic learning environment
- Use a range of assessment tools to track and report progress
- Foster a calm, structured, and safe learning space
- Collaborate with parents and external professionals to support pupil development
- Contribute to the wider school community and its inclusive ethos
Qualifications and Experience
- QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching pupils with SLD or complex needs
- Strong classroom management and adaptive teaching strategies
- Passion for inclusive, child‑centred education
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of SEND strategies, EHCPs, and safeguarding procedures
- Makaton, PECS, or similar communication tool knowledge (desirable)
