We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated SEN Teacher to join a dedicated special school in Upminster. This contract, full-time position provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special educational needs, working within a supportive and nurturing environment. As an SEN Teacher, you will lead a class of learners with a variety of complex needs, including autism, speech, language, and communication challenges. You will use innovative and engaging teaching methods to develop functional life skills, communication, and behaviour management strategies. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver individualised lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN. * Support students in developing functional life skills, communication, and social behaviours. * Monitor and assess student progress using analytical and innovative teaching approaches. * Foster a calm, inclusive, and positive classroom environment conducive to learning. * Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support student development. * Contribute to the development and improvement of the school’s SEN teaching practices. * Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies to ensure the welfare of all students. Qualifications and Experience: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. * Experience working with students with SEN, including autism and communication needs, is desirable but not essential. * Strong leadership and teamwork skills within the classroom. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * A creative and enthusiastic approach to engaging learners with complex needs. * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
