Care Taker

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Caretaker to join a Special School in Chelmsford. This full-time permanent role is ideal for someone who is experienced in maintaining school premises and ensuring the safety and security of the school grounds.

As the Caretaker, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of the school buildings and grounds, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and managing repairs. • Conduct general maintenance and repair work, liaising with external contractors as needed.

• Manage the security of the premises, including unlocking and locking the school.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting routine safety checks.

• Support the setup and organisation of school events and activities.

• Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role is preferred.
