As a Work Experience Co-ordinator, you will work closely with learners, employers, teaching staff, and families to ensure students gain valuable workplace experience and develop essential employability skills. This position involves supporting learners with interview preparation, CV writing, workplace confidence, travel training, and ongoing support throughout their placements. You will play a vital role in helping learners successfully transition towards greater independence and future employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating work experience placements for learners in and around Staines
- Supporting learners during both on-site and off-site work placements
- Assisting learners with interview preparation and employability skills
- Helping learners create and improve CVs and applications
- Supporting learners with travelling independently to and from placements
- Liaising with local employers across Staines and surrounding areas
- Monitoring placements and ensuring positive outcomes for learners and employers
- Providing encouragement and pastoral support throughout placements
- Working closely with teaching staff and families to support learner progress
- Ensuring all placements are safe, appropriate, and successful
