Prepare specific examples from your past experiences where you've successfully supported children with additional needs. Whether it's a story about helping a child with emotional regulation or encouraging positive behaviour, real-life examples will make you stand out.

Expect questions that ask how you'd handle certain situations in the classroom. Think about how you would support a child struggling with communication or how to engage a group of pupils. Practising these scenarios can help you articulate your approach clearly.
✨Ask Thoughtful Questions
At the end of the interview, have a few questions ready to ask the interviewer. Inquire about the school's approach to SEN or how they support their teaching assistants. This shows your genuine interest in the role and helps you assess if it's the right fit for you.
