Nursery Practitioner – CACHE Level 2 / Level 3 – Hemel Hempstead

SENDhelp is recruiting qualified Nursery Practitioners for nurseries in Hemel Hempstead.

We have opportunities available for ad-hoc cover, flexible work and long-term placements, making this suitable for candidates looking for either regular full-time work or more flexibility.

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Hours: Monday–Friday, between 8:00am–6:00pm

Opportunities: Ad-hoc, flexible cover and long-term

Essential: CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Nursery qualification, or a relevant higher qualification

Preferred: Previous nursery or Early Years experience

About the role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will support young children within a safe, engaging and nurturing Early Years environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting children through play and structured activities
  • Helping with children's learning, communication and development
  • Observing and supporting individual progress
  • Assisting with mealtimes and personal care where required
  • Creating a positive, safe and stimulating environment
  • Working closely with other nursery practitioners and room leaders
  • Following safeguarding and nursery procedures

What we are looking for

You must hold a CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Nursery qualification, or above.

We are also looking for candidates who are:

  • Confident working with young children
  • Reliable and able to commit to agreed shifts
  • Patient, caring and professional
  • Comfortable working as part of a nursery team
  • Able to travel reliably to Hemel Hempstead
  • Previous nursery experience is strongly preferred.
