What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, speech and language needs or complex learning profiles.
• Creating a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Working closely with teaching assistants to provide consistent support throughout the school day.
• Adapting resources and teaching strategies to meet different learning styles and abilities.
• Encouraging confidence, independence, emotional wellbeing and positive relationships.
• Liaising with SENCOs, therapists, families and wider professionals where required.

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status, QTS.
• Has experience teaching children or young people with special educational needs.
• Has experience within primary, secondary or post-16 education.
• Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Is confident adapting lessons for learners working at different levels.
• Uses a calm, consistent and positive approach to behaviour.
• Works well as part of a wider SEN support team.
