We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and work with a Year 5 pupil who requires additional help to access learning and reach their full potential. The role involves providing tailored, 1:1 support within the classroom, helping the student with both academic tasks and emotional regulation throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with identified additional needs
  • Adapt and deliver learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo
  • Build a positive, trusting relationship with the student to support their engagement and confidence
  • Help implement strategies outlined in the student’s support plan or EHCP
  • Support emotional wellbeing, behaviour regulation, and social interaction
  • Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals
