We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Head of School to lead a SEND school, ensuring every learner achieves their full potential. You will provide strategic and operational leadership, fostering an inclusive, nurturing environment tailored to the needs of pupils with complex learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the school’s operations, curriculum, and culture.
- Drive high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil progress across all areas.
- Promote inclusion, safeguarding, and pastoral care, ensuring the well-being of all pupils.
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff, supporting continuous professional development.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, external agencies, and the local community to enhance pupil outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with SEND legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding requirements.
- Manage school resources effectively, including finances, staffing, and facilities.
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and senior leadership experience; NPQH desirable.
- Proven experience in leading a SEND school or SEND provision with demonstrable improvements in pupil outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, safeguarding, and inclusion strategies.
