SEND Inclusion Support is recruiting on behalf of one of our specialist partner schools in the Stockport area for a passionate and dedicated Primary English Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a specialist SEND setting supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD and a range of additional learning needs. Small class sizes and a nurturing environment enable staff to deliver high-quality, personalised learning that helps every pupil reach their full potential.
The Role
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons.
- Teach English within a primary setting, adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils with SEND to achieve both academically and personally.
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
- Promote positive behaviour and build strong relationships with pupils.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in ongoing professional development.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Either an English specialism or significant experience teaching English within a primary setting.
- A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Experience working with children with SEND, including ASC and ADHD, is desirable.
- A SEND qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Resilience, adaptability and a passion for inclusive education.
- A commitment to achieving the very best outcomes for every pupil.
